Phail Mickelson's Woes Continue

I think this sheds some light on our previous thread about Phail and how he will react to the blooper at the Open.

3 bogeys and 1 double bogey on the last six holes for a 74. Ouch. I'm starting to feel bad for the guy.

And then opens today with 4 straight bogeys. The demons have control of his head bigtime.

Owch. The US needs his head to get back to sembalance of straight before he goes to bat at the Belfrey.

Phil probably relives #18 at the US Open on every shot he makes now.

It isn't any sectret how I feel about Phail, but I must say that I never imagined it would be this bad. I hope he can pull it together for the Ryder Cup. Granted, he is the #2 golfer in the world, he will most likely pull out of it someday, but I believe that the shanks are like alcoholism, you never REALLY are totally cured.

Poor Phail.. I always feel bad for him

He's a lot like me.. (sept my scores are a big higher) but he gets mentally off on a hole.. hits bad shots, and then gets messed up from the bad shots.. and it kills a few holes, ends up not shooting as well as he would've if he just didnt let that very first bad shot get in his head. <-- I have the same problem.

I hate it.
