He is the guy I want to play more like, I am way to animated, he is the epitome of focus and drive. Every one talks about Tiger playing a strong mental game, and thats true, but I recently read Jim Furyk is one of the few guys that keeps his composure when running neck and neck with Tiger and that takes an even stronger mental game if you ask me.

It's just that time again
Furyk doesn't do it for me. I guess it's a lot because I'm young and my generation of golfers are the intense Tiger, Sergio, and such, but ever since I started I've always been a little put off by him.
I do, however, give him credit that he is simply one of the best golfers ever, a great talent.

I like Sergio too, he is a rolling disaster, in that he plays like me, on the other hand he does a great job of fixing his messes most of the time.

From the interviews I have seen of Furyk, he isn't very impressed by Tiger.

Okay, give me a break. Not very impressed by Tiger...bottom line, Tiger is number one in the world and Furyk is not, nor will be while Tiger is there.

The thing that freaks me about Furyk is that super loopy swing...

Thing about that loopy swing is when I am on and in the groove I am pretty sure my swing looks just as goofy coming up, around, and down.

What would the Joker do?
He has a terrible swing, it's just repeatable. And at the end of the day that's much better than pretty and unrepeatable

Yeah, there are several guys on tour that don't show much emotion. Or is cool under pressure. I can name a dozen of 'em.
But being cool all the time will not win you alot of tournaments. Sometime you have to get on yourself verbally a little bit. Maybe to kick it into another gear or to pump yourself up.
I believe when you hit a bad shot its ok to vent a little. You have to understand that everybody has different personalities.
Yes I agree Tiger is a bid animated at times. He curses out loud, bangs his clubs on the ground. Throws them and trust me I know, i've been there when hes done it. I don't agree with his language. Especially when you have small children watching his every move.
But you know what? check him out when he's on his "so-called A-game."
You can see it on his face, you can see it in his eye. He's totally focused, he goes about his business destroying the golf course and eveybody that stands in his way.
And you know what, when hes in this mode, he never says a word. He's cool hand LUKE.
