Now that Tiger Woods has won 4 tournaments in a row

Do we start wondering about his chances of chasing down Byron Nelson's 11 consecutive tournament wins?

In any case, this has been an amazing run.

I honestly don't think he will catch that record....He's lucky as hell he even won yesterday.

I don't think so because its a different era now...he doesn't play every tournament and spends quite a bit of time traveling etc...I think even he gets rusty and the level of competition is quite a bit higher now than when Lord Byron set his record.

Wasn't that during WWII for example?

Doubt it, but it would be cool.

I disagree Rosmo, why is he lucky as hell? Because Stewie couldn't drop a put that was the same distance. Odds were in Tigers favor to hole it, though he didn't. You feel that Stewart has more talent than Tiger when it comes to putting? Essentially I'm saying they both missed it and had maybe Stewart was lucky as hell Tiger didn't make his.

Beyond that, the hole Tiger did win was all Tiger.

I'm not talking about one hole...He had a three stroke lead with three to play and gave it away. On Friday he hit the ball over the damn club house which should have been out of bounds but yet he still ended up having a very makeable put for par. Saturday he made 4 straight bogies, he rarely makes that many for an entire tournament. I'm very glad that he one and I hate Stewart Cink he he just rubs me wrong, I'm just saying that he wasn't in great form and could have very easily went the other way.

Nope, it's still too early. Perhaps when he is at eight or nine I will start thinking about the posibility. Until then, I will remember the times when I have shot par golf for the first four holes and failed to break 100 for the day.

He looks to be regaining his invincibility factor, imo, which I thought was gone, goodbye. He looked psychologically drained during the Firestone, and appeared as beatable as he will get when in contention. But he just wouldn't go away. Everyone else did, 'cept for Cink, but he had 3 chances to put him away on Sunday, and couldn't convert. Eldrick had one, and capitalized.

Love him or hate him, that's what makes him great. More times than not, he brings it even when he ain't really got it.

Tiger won 6 in a row. I think it was 1999-2000.

While I do not think Tiger will catch Lord Byron at 11, I have learned over and over agin not to rule anything out when it comes to Tiger. Still, I would put his chances to pull off 11 straight at 99 to 1 at this time. For anyone else on tour at this time, it won't happen

5 in a row now.

Too bad Lehman can't use Woods in every Ryder Cup pairing.
