2nd stage qualifier at Lake Jovita

I thought I would post a couple of photos of the 2nd stage qualifying tournement held Nov. 15-18 at Lake Jovita, which is about 30 minutes from my house. I went out and walked 18 holes with a couple of groups.

I highly recommend going to one of these events in your area. Good golfers, and no crowds at all. In fact, I was the only spectator for some of the round.

That's Per Ulrik Johannsen in the red pants. I don't know who the guy in the tan pants is, but he was really good. None of the guys (or their caddies) in this group wanted to chat (at all) but he was a very solid player. Johannsen finshed 36th.

Cool, I'd love to watch these guys. They are so good and make so few mistakes, you're left wondering what they are doing struggling to make a living!!

Take Per Ulrik, class act, Ryder Cup star etc. and he's fighting to make it through. So few places for such good golfers. And to think it all comes down to a few putts and some good luck.

Thanks - this Canon A710 is a great stealth camera. Pocket-sized, 7MP, 6X optical zoom so you don't have to get real close, very effective image stabilization, and a "mute" mode make it "Tiger proof". When you press the button it doesn't make a sound.
