FTi with Ozik

So I pulled the trigger on this Bad Boy, a 9.5 Tour Neutral LCG. Excited as hell to get it, especially after all the sugar poured on it by a lot of folk here. I've been checking Ozik possibilities for ages on the Bay. But I tried it and I tried it again and...sorry it's not for me.

Sure it was nice but it didn't hold a candle to the Maltby CT250. I did hit some nice drives but was very inconsistent.

Aside from the awful noise, I got no feel, and hit a fair share of low hooks. I hit this side by side with the Maltby, and no comparison.

I was very disappointed with the shaft. Not sure if it was too stiff for me. Again I couldn't get any real feel for it.

Sometimes you have to know when to fold 'em. No more FTis for me. Look for it shortly in the classifieds.

I'd be willing to bet it had nothing to do with the heads and everything to do with the shafts. I'll place a safe bet you've got stiffer tipped, higher bendpoint shaft in the Maltby?

sorry the driver didn't work out for ya. i picked up the exact same driver a few weeks ago. it took a little getting used to at first but it's received a firm position in the bag now.

Yeah, its been and gone. Glad I got to give it a whirl, but not for me. Actually made a little on the whole transaction, so happy.

Now chasing a G10 instead! Who am I kidding!

G10 sounds good. friend just replaced his 425 tp with one and gained 15 yds easy. seems like a pretty low spin head. combo that with the right shaft and giddy-up.
