Srixon ZURC

I got some of these a while ago and had them sitting in the box at home but brought one out for my last round. Reading my comments it should be taken into account that here in Oz we are still in a very cold (for Sydney) winter which would affect performance.

Anyway, I used it yesterday and found it to not perform too well off the driver for me. I swing the driver at 100-105mph average and maybe don't have the speed to make these work. I've read stuff about them before and have heard to forget about these if you don't swing the driver 110 plus. In any case the feel wasn't great and the distance was only average, not long. They were also flying a little lower than other balls I've used lately. Off the irons and putter they worked well but they just didn't feel quite right off the driver. I was hoping someone else out there might be able to shed some light on this, as there is a warehouse selling them for half price, and if it was just a cold weather thing i might buy a couple dozen for summer. But if it is definitely a swingspeed thing I will go for something else.

I think the URS = ProV1 and the URC = ProV1x

Check out Srixon Balls - Z-URC, says club head speed of 90mph. What temps you playing in?

The Zur-S is as good as any ball I've played and long off the tee. I didn't get the Zur-C because it's higher spin.

The temp over here is about 5C when I tee off and gets to about 15C by the end of the round. I know the ZURC is supposed to be the same as ProV1X but to my feel it's just a little firmer and for slightly higher swing speeds, probably more like the B330. I agree with WBL about the ZURS, especially the new version. I have used them and love them, they are perfect for my swing speed and get me a great trajectory and launch angle off the driver. But unfortunately they aren't beng run out at half price.
