CV Headlight Restorer

I'm giving two big thumbs up to a product called CV Headlight Restorer/Defogger, made by Crystal View, Inc. (www.myheadlight.com)

I bought it at WalMart for $19.95. I've needed this for some time now, as my headlights were seriously yellowed and fogged up.

The kit includes enough product to do two headlights, comprehensive and easy-to-understand instructions, and they even included a nitrile glove to help keep the chemicals off your hand. Nice touch.

The kit consisted of sheets of 1000-grit wet grit sandpaper, wet finish paper, cloth applicators, as well as packets of fine polish compound and clear coat.

Each lens took 3 minutes of sanding with the 1000-grit paper, 1 minute with the finish paper, and 1 minute with the polishing compound, plus a few minutes for each of the two coats of clear coat to dry.

The results exceeded my expectations. The lens are honestly as good as new. Sure, I could have hunted down all the parts of the kit elsewhere, bought in bulk, and saved a bunch of money (per use) but I'm not in the business of headlight restoration, and the kit did its job perfectly.

If you have dingy, yellowed, or foggy headlight lenses, and want to get them back to sparkling new, buy this kit. (For use only on plastic lens.)

Not what I expected when I joined this forum, but THANK YOU!

I recently hit a deer that trashed the driver's side of my car. Its fixed now but the driver's side headlamp is new & clear and the passenger's side has eight years of FUNK on it. It is almost embarrassing to look at so I might give it a try!

I normally wouldn't post a review of a non-golf product, but I was so impressed with this product I needed to share.

No need for the stuff, but I will say Maguires Scratch X is some great stuff.

Works wonderful on cars, but get this...

Use a little of it on the crown of those drivers and woods that have some little skymarks or blemishes on them..

GONE.. Seriously.. Looks brand new, and not even a hint of a skymark.
