AirVue Golf for iPhone 3g

http://www.airvuegolf.com/index.html

anyone ever heard of this or use it? I was at a Golf Expo in San Jose, Ca today and saw it. seems pretty cool...basically turns your iPhone into a skycaddie.

I was thinking of buying the ap, but wanted to see if anyone had used it before.

Re: AirVue Golf for iPhone 3g

***************
"Should I take my long iron and go for the green or lay up in front of the creek hazard?"

"How should I play this Par 5 hole? Where would my 250 yard drive put me on the fairway? Or am I better off with a 200 yard tee shot?"

As a golfer you ask yourself this and many similar questions at every hole you play.
***************

What a load of b*ll*cks.

Q1 - Absolutely take the long iron. In fact, take a mid-iron, step on it and be a man!!!

Q2 - 250?! Pah I can knock it 330 out there, leaving me with a wedge in and a putt for eagle. laying up is for girls!!!

Re: AirVue Golf for iPhone 3g

I've been using viewti and it does the job. The two apps look very comparable. They have a lot of courses and it's pretty straight forward. Haven't tried airvue but they don't seem to be any information on which courses are available. I would check to see if the app you want has your courses before you get it.

Re: AirVue Golf for iPhone 3g

I am also contemplating getting AirVue. One thing I liked about it is that if the course you want to play on is not mapped, they will map it for you within a one week period (less if you need it expedited). I emailed them about a course I was going to play on and they had it done for me in 2 days. Now the question is, is this worth the $40 I will spend on it.
