TaylorMade Burner TP Ball

Has anyone played one of these? They are selling for $20 a dozen and I wanted to know if its worth trying them. I usually use Platinums, I like their spin and fell and wondered if this were similar in some way...

Re: TaylorMade Burner TP Ball

I bought 5 doz when gppgolf.com had them on sale for 11/doz with a free hat. Unfortunately I have not played much yet as it has gotten a little chilly up here in the midwest as of late and I have become a wuss.

Re: TaylorMade Burner TP Ball

They outperform just about everything in their price bracket. Very solid ball in every category.

Hehehehe, no mate, it isn't. I'm actually overseas right now, for the whole year, that's why I've been so "busy" looking around for equipment and stuff like that to take back home...

You know we can't find but Top Flight XL3000 for that price.... lol

Even that would be pushing the proverbial manure up a very steep slope.

Re: TaylorMade Burner TP Ball

They are solid, more durable then the TM Red or Black, but lower spinning. I liked the feel of them but I didn't think that they gave you the full reaction that I was looking for. The TF Gamer for the same price I feel is a much better ball.

Re: TaylorMade Burner TP Ball

I finally got to hit these and I thought they were like hitting a racquet ball off the tee. They take off like a bat out of hell but just seem to drop with no rollout. My Bertha Reds are better off the tee for me. Putting the TPs is a different story. I have never felt a softer ball roll off of a putter face before.

Re: TaylorMade Burner TP Ball

Yeah it's a really good ball it adds about 5 yards to my drive I like the spin on it and how it performs.
