Callaway BB Diablo ball
I had found one of these a while back and just threw it in the bag. Well they're aerifying our greens so I figured there wasn't any reason to play a good ball since feel around the greens is pretty much out the window. Tee'd up this Diablo. I have to say... I'm pretty impressed with the way the ball comes off the face.. both with driver and irons. It's for sure longer than my beloved Tour ix's. Very straight ball flight... cuts through the wind pretty well. I can't really comment on it around the greens... not a very soft cover so I'm sure it'd be about like hitting a marble on the green. But as far as ball striking goes it's actually quite good.

I played one a bit and like it too. It doesn't check like a premium ball, but it's not really supposed to.

They actually check up better than you'd think. I really like them myself. For the money I think its the best mid-level ball out there right now.

Well, I played it, so it's not a "you'd think" think. I KNOW. But I was playing it alongside a Pro V1 and a TP red. It checks up well for what it is. Would just take some minor adjustments to get it working perfectly for my short game.

Sorry about that, my comment was directed to the OP. Of course its not going to check up like a 40 something dollar a dozen ball. But compared to other balls in the low 20's it does a great job. Even better than some in the mid to high 20's, IMHO anyway.

I found one.. The next tee box, I lost it. Couldn't say much more than, the balls were just meant to live in the woods.
