Driver loft suggestions

I'm thinking of getting a new driver. I'm looking for suggestions as to what loft I should get. My current driver is a 9.5* Titleist 907 D2 with a stiff Proto "By You" shaft. I hit it ok most of the time but I haven't been anywhere near 300 yards with this club. I hit the ball pretty high with all my clubs but I wouldn't say I ballon my driver. The courses here in NY have been wet just about all summer so my drives stop within a couple feet of where they land. I would say when I hit it good I get about 260-275 out of it. I don't draw the ball at all so that doesn't help my distance much.

I have tried 7.5, and 8.5 drivers and seem to have similar results. Like I said I hit it pretty high so I've stayed away from 10.5's. I don't expect to hit it 325-350 but I've been over 300 plenty of times.

Any thoughts?

Thanks

Re: Driver loft suggestions

Stick with what you have.. If your truthful in the 275, with a cut shot, no roll, on wet fairways, then when it's dry, you should have no problem with 300 yards.

Why on earth would you want a change, if it's working?

If you tried lower loft, and got nothing, perhaps you should look into your swing. Your launch angle is off. Perhaps you should look into shafts, something that has a lower ball flight.

Re: Driver loft suggestions

When you were hitting it over 300 yards, was it in the fairway?

Last year I was knocking it out there about 285, occasionally over 300. But seldom, maybe 1 out of 15, would find the fairway. And the misses were way off line. I'm hitting them 250-265 now and landing most in or near the fairway.

I'll take less distance and more accuracy any day!
