  2. Computer bot used by search engines (like yahoo for this instance) to index what we say on these forums. Then when people search for "club hoing 17.5* 5W" or something on google/yahoo, they can be linked to these forums. So they're basically free advertising

They are able to recognize an e-mail address though and people can get those lists (or so I've heard). So if you want to prevent spam type your e-mail address on a forum..do so as

"example09 AT yahoo DOT com" instead of example09@yahoo.com

Check out a program called Choice Mail by Digiportal Software, Inc. They have a free version (as well as single-user and Enterprise versions), and it eliminates spam very easily. I get over 100 spam messages a day on my office computer - rather, I don't get them. Choice Mail filters them out, and they never make it to my inbox. Best thing about it is that I don't have to set up any rules. I just import my contact list and Choice Mail does the rest.

Once I tried this program, I put it on all the computers in our company, and recommend it to everyone. I will never own another computer without it, at least until they come up with some sort of private e-mail that works.

Why waste time cleaning out your inbox when you don't have to?
"Maybe he could sell it on Ebay, say it looks like the Virgin Mary, Sergei Fedorov, or Leno."
