OK, here I go again. I am doing

everything exactly the same as always, but I will now type a reply, hit the button to post it, and the screen says that I have not logged in. For awhile, I would log in, my post would appear, and I could submit it. Now, the posts disappears and all that is left is what I wrote in the Title slot.

If the answer involves Cut and Paste, could you tell me how to do that?

Sometimes this happens when I have been pretty quick in typing out the post and/or I am able to post something without problem when I took fairly long to type out something. I see no pattern in this.

Clear your cookies and temp. internet files then you should be able to stay logged in,

If you're not sure how to do that, tell me which browser you use and I'll give you instructions.

I had cleaned out Temporary Files before starting. I just do not get it. Why do I get told that I have not logged in when I am obviously logged in to have been able to attempt posting something? Well, I know I write too much anyway, so this will prevent that problem.

Another thing that is strange. When I have enough patience, I will re-type what I've written, or something close to it, and perhaps on the second or third try, hey, no problem.

Look at that! Got through, and I did nothing different from another post got knocked down. Sort of frustrating. Like now, I am thinking, "Maybe, I can do the other post now." But if I try, I know there is about a fifty-fifty chance it will be shot down inexplicably, and it is not worth taking the chance. CP

Good grief! I just went back to Shot Talk, and there was the post that I had made, that for a while I could not find. Maybe I am starting to get "Old Timers Disease", but I seem to be able to remember that my car keys are for cleaning my underarms. I just don't get it.

CP, I've gotten into the habit of copying all the text I've typed before hitting the "submit" button. It's very hit or miss as to whther my post gets accepted, or I get an error. Soryy Sling, but Ive mentioned this before, and I still have issues with this site. IT IS BETTER since you switched sites. But if I write a long post, I back it up before posting.

If the other recommendations do not work, the easiest I have found if this happens, which it hasn't happened to me in a while, is to wait if it happens. If it does just hit the "Back" key on the browser, It will go back to the typed post. Copy it, go forward or back and hit post reply then paste. Saves from having to copy every single post, just the ones that don't work.

Also check to have it save your password, I don't think it has happened to me since doing so, and I have never timed out since.

I said "I didn't" have this problem. Past tense. I haven't had any real problems in a while. Since you changed providers.

For the record, I use IE6. The only issues I have here now are undoubtedly related to the fact that I spend 95% of my computer time here, and am on a wireless laptop...

my equipment. Hey, it is somewhat incouraging that others have had similar situations, but so many folks have had no problems it has to be something at certain user's end.

When I hit my back button and get to where my post was, it is gone and only the title remains. But as I said, this last time, I could not find it, but it just sort of appeared as if a miracle had happened.

I enjoy and appreciate this site very much. I will keep trying to learn, and I apologize for having cost people to lose time over this.

Well i dont think i have logged out for like 2 weeks... i leave it on.. mine works Dunno... If ur on a rounter reset, reset the modem also
