Trouble with the site since server switch

I'm having a lot more problems where the site simply won't load on both my office PC running XP and my home iMac. Tonight I've had to restart the page 6 times in 30 minutes.

Have you cleaned out your cache and deleted cookies?

I did too, a few times. I just waited it out, because I couldn't even post.

Initially during the switch, I had issues. But I cleared everything and it was fine.

You running a firewall?

Just the windows provided Firewall and AVG.

I was on the site at the beginning of the day without problems, then the whole day I got tons of server not responding and taking too long to respond etc.

All is well on my end.
I did have a server restart around 8:30 last night. I had to add a setting and restart the server.

Try the cookie delete one more time and report back.

Also....what browser are you using?

Mr. "Sling I'm having trouble with this site here and it can't be my computer because I belong to several different forums and this is the only one I ever have problems with" here.

I used to bitch and moan about the old server, but since the switch I really haven't had anything to complain about, except for a broken link I stumbled across. I'm running XP and IE6 at home, and W2K and IE6 at work. Hardware firewalls at both places.

Site was horrible yesterday for access. Seems fine today.

I have had a couple of times where it throws up database connectivity errors...i just usually refresh the page a couple of times and it comes back up

Has happend on all three computers at home and my work computer
HomeDesktop: XP Firefox
HomeDesktop: Vista IE7
Home Laptop: Vista IE7 + FireFox
Work Desktop: XP IE6

going to be very hard to track something like this down i would imagine...as it happens every now and then and not with any specific type of hardware/software...

Just thinking out loud to provide more information to Sling, as it seems to be related to both Firefox and IE. Have you guys done updates lately to both your browser or Windows, or have it done automatically?

I haven't had the problem, but have also been in the process of switching PC's and have mainly been browsing on a Vista based computer for the most part of the last 2 weeks, and obviously it is up to date now. I just today am using my old one for the first time and have had no problems, which is running off XP and because it has not been booted in close to two weeks it has obviously not been updated recently either.

Keep track gents. I think that server setting we changed last night may have had something to do with it.

If it happens again note the error received, what time it happened and approximately how long it lasted.

the broken links are related to the gallery software and cannot be fixed until the software is updated.
