Attachments since server upgrade?

I've noticed that all my attachments (and most others) now appear as thumbnails, and require a click to open. However, Rockford recently posted pics of his FT-5, and they appeared full-sized as in the past.

Are all pics added through "Manage Attachments" now going to appear as thumbnails? I can understand this as a bandwidth-management tactic, but it is really annoying having to click on a picture to open it. Just my two cents.

Perhaps Rockford embedded his pics another way, or perhaps he gets different rights because he's a mod. Whatever - I'd just like to know.

I like the thumbnails, its helpful. Means the screen doesnt get stretched.

Yes, but the software could just as easily resize the oversized pictures to 640x480 resolution.

The thumbnails do help reduce screen load times. But computers these days are fast enough.

Besides - I'm lazy. Any extra mouse clicks I can avoid are mouse clicks I'm happy I'm don't need to make.

Use firefox with the cooliris download, all you have to do is scroll over the link.

I refuse to use Firefox. The last time I tried it, it modified all my file associations, and nothing was ever the same. After three weeks of mucking about (and I'm not computer illiterate) I gave up and reformatted my hard drive. I know lots of people use and love Firefox, but for me? No thanks...

Just think of the money you will save in therapy bills from sssmokin's pictures in the member section, where they are no longer "Larger than Life".

Heck, I was thinkin' of asking that we make them even smaller.

I use Internet Explorer, and they enlarge for me when I scroll over them as well.

I have a question, though.

Today I wanted to post a picture I'd already posted on an earlier thread some time ago, but I could not do so because I had already uploaded in that previous thread. Is there another way to insert a picture into a thread without "uploading" it from your own computer? Apparently all uploads are stored in my user control panel... how do I get them from there to the thread?
