I don't use IE, haven't in over 10 years, but will assume sessions is the terminology for IE in having the Browser remember the Password and username. Which I always have used in place of Cookies in both Opera and now in Firefox, as I clear out my cookies regularly. I prefer the encryption used in most browsers for password memory, over how easily you can hack into cookies. Not that there is a huge difference, it is just that people tend to look for cookies. Just my own preference, not a recommendation.

If I am not correct in my assuming, what is a Session?

edit 1 - about the only downside I have seen to using this method so far is that it will not as easily recognize when you "Mark Forums Read" It still works, just not as easily. Kind of the opposite of what was mentioned in this thread, where they still stay highlighted some of the time. May be worth a shot if you have the problem though.
