I know this is a yearly thread, like New Years resolutions, but lets hear em. I'll start...

I want an eagle. I will get some eagles.
Play different courses and more rounds of 18 altogether.

We all want everything to be better, but let's try to be a little specific.

I would really like to keep better stats. That way i can make better use of my practice time.

I don't know how much time ill have to play since ill have an infant in the house, but I hope ill get out enough to shoot some decent scores.

I kind of want to golf in a league...just not sure if i want to dedicate another night of the week to something.

To add to my OP... I would really like to shoot my nine hole best or one better at a couple of courses that have given me trouble in the past. I'd like to get my low for 18 down a couple strokes closer to 80 on a regular basis and also at other places than just my regular course.

    1. The Good Lord has blessed me with the opportunity to play over 100 rds/year for the past few years. Goal #1 is to be able to continue playing those 100+ rounds.
    2. Putting... I still struggle with short putts. Somehow... some way... I'm gonna get the short putt nemisis defeated.
    3. IIRC, one round in the 90's... something like 5 in the upper 70's. Boringly consistent in the low to mid 80's. I want to be "boringly consistent" in the upper 70's. If I can solve the putting issue, I believe I can get there.
    4. Most of all, have fun!! Golf is a game. Golf is a chance for social interaction with people who share enjoyment of this great game. Many years ago, I took the game way too seriously. Through the years, I have played with many who do likewise. The day this quits being fun... the day this is no longer a chance to tell and hear jokes, laugh with the rest of the group, and laugh at ourselves I'll give it up.

I want what everyone else wants. I want to lower my cap.

My lifelong goal is to shoot a bogey free round. Also, I want to shoot a 69 or better at a long course.

Putting has been my focus this year to help get me closer to my goals. All I can ask for is to have better direction control and to hit more putts on the sweet spot.

I want to practice my short game once a week... I'm starting to get a lot more consistent with my swing but my scores aren't going down. I need to practice on and around the greens.

My goal is to be able to walk of the course and not feel like I left too many out there. That will consist of keeping the double-bogeys to an absolute minimum (like 1 or 2 per round) and the triples+ off the card for good.

To win at least one tournament. Which, for me, starts with control off the tee box.

I can usually do that in 14 or 15 holes... if I can do it so can you! :D Seriously though, great goal.

Biggest goal for me is to just play more. If I can average a round a week I'd be really happy.

I want to get my handicap back down around 10, practice more, play more and have fun. Last year I spend too much money buying clubs on Ebay, which didnt allow me to play and go to the range as much as I need to, which hurt my scores.
My plan is to greatly cut back buying clubs on Ebay and work on my swing more. A few years back my handicap was down around a 7 but has ballooned to a 20 and I want to get it back down.

My goal is to get my son involved in the game, he has his first clubs and I hope to get him to the range a couple of times.
