No blue hats in this house!!!

My long time friend and cart partner is a die-hard Royals fan. He has gone to a couple games/year for the past decade. He had a chance to go a week ago and refused. Said there would be too many people there and it would be too crowded!!! That's about all he can talk about, right now, while we play our Saturday/Sunday rounds. Early in the year, he was calling for Ned Yost (Royals manager) to be fired. Haven't heard that for a few weeks.

My Mother was a huge Royals fan. Even when she was sick with cancer and could barely get around, she would go with a senior citizens group at least once/year to a Royals game. That would have been late 70's/early 80's. Of course, growing up here, I remember when they were the Kansas City Athletics. They moved to Oakland and KC was without a team for a while. Not sure when the Royals franchise was formed.

How 'bout them Royals!! They've been fun to watch, even for someone who is not an avid baseball fan. Never gave up, even when down multiple runs. First team to win 8 straight in post-season play.

Royals vs. Giants in the World Series. Giants there often in the past few years. Royals not there since 1985.

I've been guilty of doing that. The buckle on my belt pulls my belly hairs and I hate tucking my shirt in.
