Biggest story so far is that after 6 years in the league, Andrew Luck has retired at age 29.

Didn’t see it coming but don’t blame him. Colts will be a mess this year I’m guessing.

I’m sure Jacoby Brissitte feels good about that!

I think Kaep has stayed in shape this whole time.

So I said "biggest" story but I guess I could amend that because we have the Kaepernick story, the Eric Reid protests, and the Jay-Z debacle. And it's still only preseason!

Yeah, and unfortunately I see the helmet and CTE issues continuing forever.

Jay-Z used the Kaepernick situation to make a deal with the NFL (and to make money) and will be the majority owner in a team TBD. Many people of color, including a very vocal Eric Reid, are not happy with Jay-Z.

Oh...I'm going to go back to not knowing about that situation.

    Carry on.

    Yup.

Talking heads on espn were asking today if Lucks retirement would be an event we look back on as a beginning of the end of sorts for the NFL. When a high profile player retires young feasting injury? Who knows?

Gronkowski just retired as well and he's also just 29 years old. He's not getting anywhere near the flak Luck is getting.

It's over hyped nonsense anyway. Luck earned his pay and has the right to quit on his own terms and within contract. He has higher priorities than what the fans want. The damn owners can release these guys whenever they want. Fans can't have it both ways. It's free agency.
