Michelson and Fineau both missed the cut.

Lots of the "big guns" playing in Saudi this week. Reed, DJ, DeChambeau….

Nice touch by the Phoenix Open to remember Jerrod Lyle and his ace from the third round in 2011.

Sergio disqualified during the Saudi tournament. Damaging the green by hitting it with his putter during a temper tantrum. Millionaire acting like trailer trash.

Li sets a record by making 3 eagles on Par 4's in one round... plus eagled a Par 5... and is only tied with DJ for the lead. FOUR EAGLES... and not even leading the tournament.
Li got that really bad break last week when a penalty cost him $100,000. His caddy's positioning during Li's shot was an infraction of the brand new 2019 rules. Li comes back with a vengeance, as if last week never happened.

Yip, IMO this is not acceptable behavior! He is supposed to be a professional. Kids watch and replicate. Throwing clubs, shoes, spitting into holes, trash-talking and now digging up greens are all acts of petulance. Good to disqualify him, call him out. He should also be heavily fined, have some sort of ban and made to undertake counselling of some sort. And give a public apology!

I do like Sergio up to now, but this cannot be condoned. It's selfish and very disturbing. Everyone has their demons, but he knows he is in the public eye! Not good Sergio, not good!

First off, I agree, these actions are deplorable. I haven't really 'liked' him as a golfer since he spit in the cup. That's just downright disgusting.

That said, he's human. He didn't sign up to be a role model, he signed up to be a golfer. The fact that millions of people like to watch golf on TV isn't his fault. Yes, his actions can and will be judged by the public at large, as all our actions are. Only true difference is they're exposed to a much larger audience. I've never understood holding professional sports players to some lofty set of ethics simply because 'kids look up to them'.

This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase to your children who may look up to these golfers, that they are human and sometimes they do bad things. A perfect teaching moment to show that, no matter how good at this game you become, there's no room for disrespecting the course like that. Kids need to know that professional sports players are human, some of them are idiots, some a great people, some are criminals. They should choose their idols carefully and be willing and able change idols based on their actions. They're not gods, nor should they be.

If he feels like publicly apologizing, that's fine. Forced public apologies from his sponsors who are looking at social kick back are disingenuous and IMO do nothing more than to undermine the authenticity of people who truly are sorry for what they did.

Also, looked at some news stories on this and it seems that he already apologized on Twitter. Also he apparently damaged 'several' greens according to his own tweet.

That's nuts! I wonder if he's working on Zombieland 2. Which wouldn't suck.
