Actually, it’s closer to $500 million according to the latest reports.

Pats are taking a $13 million cap hit this year for Brady on he not even on the roster. If something happens to Mahomes, the Chiefs are pretty much done for the next decade. While I have not seen the guaranteed money amount, the rumor is the majority of that half a billion is guaranteed.

Apparently it goes up toward the back half of the contract. I think he’s guaranteed something like $162mm over the first 5 then it goes way up from there. If he stays healthy look for the chiefs to restructure around year 5. If he gets hurt look for them to fold up camp and stay home.

I liked Washington Red Wolves, but apparently some “Patent Hobbiest” has patented that and several other of the popular guesses as well as the associated website names in an effort to score some cash to sell the patents. Jack wagons are everywhere.

Yeah, RedTails and Red Tails are also on that patent pirate’s list.

The only one I have seen mentioned that the team owns the patent to is Warriors.

It's a crock of :poop: unless the name of EVERY team with an Indian based name is changed in every sport. Eventually, the Queen is going to say she's offended at the name Patriots and they'll be changing too because we certainly can't let 1 person be offended. You know, we're the biggest, baddest country in the world, so let's make damn sure we don't step on one precious toe.

Any of you boys think I might be a little miffed?:D

In today’s day and age, I am all for teams making appropriate changes to their names. If deemed needed. But I feel it loses significance if there are only a few of these franchises that do so. Now that the Redskins have made the change when will a few others follow suit?

Like who? Off the top of my head I can think of the Indians and Braves. The Indians have said they will listen and I think the Braves have said no they aren’t planning a name change. The names of those teams aren’t a blatant slur towards a group of people though. There are the Blackhawks but they are named after a Native American chief so they aren’t changing their name. I’m sure there are some college and HS teams I’m missing. We have a local HS that’s named the raiders with an arrowhead as the logo. They are talking name change. That reminds me, the Chiefs. I haven’t heard one way or the other if they are talking about it.

I don’t really feel strongly one way or the other about name changes tbh. I guess I should but just don’t. Hasn’t been a good few weeks for the Washington football team though, more bad news with the sexual harassment article that came out.

The NFL has lost me for good, but I don't represent their favored demographic.
