The newly re-opened Deane Beman design. My pics never do a course justice, but this is by far the best turf condition in this area. The rough is still VERY deep after 2 years of closure - they now have 3 rough cut mowers and are staffing up. They cut a little off every day and are working it down to 2.5"

This is my tee shot on the 200 yd par 4, 2nd hole. Yes, I made the eagle. :D

Thanks! It's not a big deal playing from the Gold tees, but it's still a 190 yard blind shot to an elevated green where you can only see the top of the flagstick from the tee box. I hit driver and you can see where it landed. ;)

Oh, and I still had to make that putt. Thank you, Scotty Cameron.

These are the cart keys at this course.......and it is the only place I can find the rating/slope of the tees. Weird, but handy. Ridge=Red, Battle = Gold, Gray=White, Blue=Blue, and Cannon=Black. My bud and I were considering trying the Blacks one day to try and break 100, but there are too many holes where I could not even reach the beginning of the fairway - I'd have to carry 200+ yards of impossible (no find ball) terrain.

PaPaD... if I can make it down there, maybe we can play a different course each day. Gauntlet, Cannon Ridge, Meadows Farm, Pendleton, Aquia Harbor, Medal of honor (on base), and the one in Triangle. Maybe two a day, if we can get out early.

You'd better hurry. We leave for FL on Nov 1. Sounds like fun!
