Can you put .350 tip shaft into a .335 club?

You can, but you have to drill and hone the hosel.

Most shafts come in both sizes (except higher end ones). What's wrong with buying a .335 shaft?

Anybody know?????

Why would you want to do that?? It seems like all the best shafts are .335. I can't find anything that I like in a .350.

A .350 is a more expensive shaft to make. Higher end clubs and shafts are basically all .335. (By higher end I mean Tour and stuff like Ozik and Tour Fuji).

For weekend warriors like us, it's pretty easy to find .350 in just about anything we would need....

Except Rifles :( My latest hybrids have a .350 hosel and sadly enough there were no Rifle's in .350 at Golfsmith or online at Golfsmith. I am not sure if they even make them in .350 as Golfsmith normally carries everything that RP makes. Trying TT DG S300, but sorely miss my Rifle 5.5's.

Thought about getting some shims to adapt the .335 to .350 but figured I would give the DG's a try. If I can not get the right feel/flight I may end up doing just that with some Rifle 5.5's. I was just a little concerned with clubhead security with the shims as I have not used them before, but I had the same doubts about shaft extensions and they have worked out just fine so far.

If you had it shimmed, you'd never know it. But try the DG's, see what comes out of it.

I am trying to get an NV 75S for my Sonartec SS-03 14* and not spend an arm and a leg so I am shopping hard on ebay. They arent as easy to find as I hoped and are expensive...

The Sonartec website says the clubhead has a .335 diameter shaft hole. So I was wondering if the tip could be sanded down to fit the smaller hole...

Gotcha.

If you have some time, just be patient. One will come along. I see a bunch of 65S in .335, but no 75S.

I'll put out some feelers, see what I can find.

Patience. 3W shafts are a dime a dozen on there. I must have checked on close to a hundred shafts on there for my driver that were too short. I imagine you could take a shortie driver .335, throw it in the 3W and then cut it to your liking from the butt if necessary. I'm thinking $30 max for one of those. BTW- Prepare for a new driver post, rain all day and a new credit card... it's inevitable.

You can just shave the top layer of the shaft off - I have done it on a number of occasions. Obviously not recommended, plus you gotta make sure that you don't go past the point that you are wanting to shave off...
