I scored a set of x 3 wedges off a local buy and sell for next to nothing. 52, 56 and 60. They are in very good condition considering the price.

So I raced home last night and me and the kid, had a go with them. I hit 6 balls with the 52 about 70 yards into a stiff breeze and was getting about 10ft of zip! These things spin like crazy. My son said "it was like cheating"!

They sit lovely to the ball, seem to deliver a nice lower penetrating flight. Not sure what they are like round the green for touch shots, I'm sure they will take a bit of getting used to. But I'm impressed so far.

Cleveland is turning out some fantastic product right now. Their wedges have remained a mainstay in the bags of so many who enjoy this game. As Bob Vokey fades further into retirement and James Patrick becomes the Titleist wedge designer, I really wonder if we will see a resurgence of Cleveland wedges on Tour.

I have an "old as the hills" Cleveland Tour Action 588 rusted wedge. I've had it for over 15 years. I have tried ~5 wedges to replace it and it is still in the bag. I can't get anything close to the feel with low bounce. The grooves are almost worn off it. I'm evening considering going to a machine shop to try and get it regrooved. Let's see if this new acquisition can shift it.
