DUSTIN JOHNSON VAULTED TO THE TOP of the FedEx Cup Standings with his victory at the BMW Championship at Crooked Stick in Carmel, Indiana. Johnson, who won the U.S. Open in June, is having a breakout season.
"I've got a lot of confidence in every part of my game," he told Golf Channel's Steve Sands. "Especially all of the work I've put in on my wedges, it's really paid off this year. And this week the putter really worked."
Johnson shot a 67 in the final round to finish at 23 under par, three shots better than runner-up Paul Casey.
The FedEx Cup Playoffs conclude this week with the Tour Championship at East Lake Golf Club in Atlanta. The field is limited to the top 30 in the points race. The top five are Johnson, Patrick Reed, Adam Scott, Jason Day and Paul Casey.
