    Nope, Brady's done.

And Tim, I must have missed getting Cassell by a few minutes...

That's OK though, I grabbed Simms, who will be starting for the Pats when Cassell falls on his face.

VTEC baby! :D The only way to travel when you QB is done for the season and you need to get home to your computer ASAP.

Simms, huh? The same Simms that got cut in Tampa and then could not make it past a 36 year old career back up for the 3rd QB slot in the tradionally poor QB pooled Ravens? 3rd string at best for the Pats unless Cassel and Gutierrez get injured as well in which case I will have to change the team name to "Really Phuqued Again".

Where is Willie Beaman when you need him?

    Yep, the exact same Simms...

Side wager for a buck. Simms starts for the Pats at some point this year (if they sign him.)

Hell no, knowing my luck both Cassel and Gutierrez will get hurt which will a) kill my fantasy season even more b) kill my beloved Pats chance of making the playoffs c) cost me a buck.

If Gruden could not get Simms to work the Tampa version of the West Coast offense, I do not see a lot of success for Simms in the Pats offense. If he is starting for the Pats, the division is going to go to Buffalo or even maybe the Jets. :unhappy:

The reason Simms was unsuccessful (besides the fact that he is only marginally talented) was the pathetic Bucs O-line. Same reason the Bucs fail year after year.

The Bucs didn't look that bad yesterday against a N.O team that is likely playoff bound with that offense behind Brees.

Garcia is very servicable, Graham looked good, and once the receivers get a bit healthier there could be some good offensive rythem. Losing Brooks hurt the defense a bit yesterday, but they still played a good game. Garcia played pretty well behind a pourous S.F. offensive line and should be able to do the same with the Bucs. I am thinking Wild Card for the Bucs this year.

I saw a 7-8 team out there. Graham looked OK, but could not get it done in the red zone. Garcia was running for his life all day, and Henderson torched the safety on his TD. The only hope for them is Cadillac coming back strong.

    Carolina is too strong.
    New Orleans is too strong.
Atlanta looked good, for pete's sake!

FYI.....according to BB in the hoody the Pats have not worked out any other QB's today even though the rumors are swirling on Simms and Rattay. I just love listening to BB press conferences.

and I love every minute of it, loose lips sink ships. :D

On a side note, I saw a ticker message on ESPN now saying that Tennessee has called Simms to work out since Vince Young is hurt.

Either Simms is everywhere today or his agent is really working the cell phone.

    The hoodied one is great.
    The hoodied one is powerful.

Simms in Tennessee? Still better than O'Sullivan in San Francisco...

I'm holding out for Simms to Moss, Simms to Moss, Simms to Moss...

While your holding out, I will be watching Cassel to Moss, Cassel to Welker, Cassel to Falk, Cassel to Moroney, and Cassel to Watson. :D

I am just hoping the Pats can stike lighting in a bottle for the second time as when Brady came in for Bled-slow.

What you'll be watching is Cassel to Maroney.

You know, Sammy Morris might not be a bad pickup right now. Maroney's going to get tired running the ball so much.

While that will occur more often than with Brady in the line up, getting Cassel a full week or two of reps with the first team and the talented receivers on said first team should open up the passing game more than it did yesterday in his fill in capacity. With an early bye in week 4, I am expecting Cassel to be fully up to speed on the passing game by week 5.

Considering that they have the Jets and Miami the next two weeks, the passing game may open up a little sooner thant the bye week. ;)

Day late and a dollar short, again, Eracer. Somebody already picked up Morris today when they dropped Brady.;)

Oh, I don't need another running back. Not with LT, Thomas Jones, Chris Johnson, Selvin Young, and Felix Jones.

What I need is a QB. I've got the trade bait.

Too bad you can't start more than 2 RB's. :D

Seeing as my starting QB could not get through the first 7 minutes of the season, I am thinking I could use another one, too.
