I went with two old friends to play at Farmlinks yesterday. $100 for all you can eat golf, food and (yes) non-alchoholic beverages...We loved it.

A security guard greets you as you enter...

Golf shop with players lined up to pay. These are either Japanese tourists or guys who work at the Honda plant about 30 miles away...

Now I told you in the other Thread that I would probably see cows grazing on the course. Not only was this true, but they put one right behind the desk just as a reminder of things to come...

Deep hay surrounds every hole and there are plenty of deep fairway bunkers.

This is a short Par 4. I hit hybrid/9 iron onto the green and birdied this one....

This is #4 - the #1 Handicap hole....a 445 yard par 4. I hit my drive in the right fairway bunker. My approach from there was short of the green and I failed to get up and down for par...

Views from tee to green and green to tee...

From there - up we go...climbing in elevation about 200 feet up a steep incline...the first view is from midway up and the second is a nice shot of the tee to the green. 192 yards to the center of the green and a 7 iron is the right play for me...

We saw a mailbox with "The Experience at Farmlinks" on the side next to the tee...this was a pretty nice touch if you wanted to stop and get a better view of the valley...

It was a warm day..85f/29C but we had low humidity and a steady 10-15 mph breeze...

A short par 4. I selected "three wood for control" and promptly blocked it straight right into the woods. I hacked it into the deep hay on the other side of the fairway from there. Somehow hacked it onto the green and saved bogey. Great course management on my part!!

Another very pretty downhill Par 3. Three of the four of the par 3's are steep downhill and in my mind are the "signature holes" on the course. This one is 220 to the pin. There is such an elevation drop that I hit 5 iron pin high in the right rough...

This is one of the 'research areas' of the course. Something has been sprayed here and documented with orange paint...

Another short par 4. Those are fairway bunkers on the left with deep hay behind...stay right with about a 225 yard tee shot for a safe play...

Some of their bunkers are pretty large. Notice the 'ring/strip' around the edges? This is some sort of plastic material that has been stapled into the ground...we were told to be careful and not step on it when entering the bunkers. I have no clue what its purpose is...

The 17th...another nice downhill par 3 with water carry. I hit seven iron on our first 18 and birdied here. On the second 18, I hit another one to about 12 feet but missed. My favorite hole of course...173 to the middle of the green.
