I have a gap in my yardage that I can't find a club to work. I've tried hybrids and irons. My AP1 set did not come with a 4-iron so I found some cheap super forgiving components. Here's the stuff to make it. If it doesn't work I'm not out much. I fixed a broken shaft on one of sssmokin's irons and it turned out great. I've read up on the shaft info on how to make it regular flex etc etc. Wish me luck. I'll post a pic when I get the stuff and put it together.

You posted two threads on the same topic. I replied in both threads that I liked the other thread better. When did Wisconsinites lose their sense of humor?

Hireko/Acer is good stuff Jerry. I've sold many sets of those HT irons.

I remember that one time that I hit a perfectly pure 4i. I felt like a real golfer.

Yes, that was the one and only time I've ever had that feeling.

It's an even better feeling when you pure a 2 iron. I used to love my 2 iron.

I used to tee off with a 3 iron. For whatever reasons it was the only club I could get off the tee with.

Me too. It was about 1975, and the woods were wood with steel shafts. I hit big slices with all of them, I could hit the irons straight.

Those woods were a nightmare to hit. The first driver I ever had that I could really hit were the old Yonex ADX 100 or 200 graphite headed 250 cc clubs. Those were far better then the first TaylorMade Burners.

Oh man, those were the first metal driver/fairways I ever owned. They had a sweet spot that was one atom wide.

Those are pretty solid iron heads. The Acer XV Pro is outstanding. I had a combo set with the HT in 5, 6, 7 and the Pro in 8 to GW. Awesome clubs.

Will give it a test run tomorrow. There's one hole that is too short for a hybrid and too long for my 5-iron. I'm hoping this fills the gap.
