Any thoughts, good or bad? I've started out the New Year trying to focus on a few things. Bigger turn, more upright address. I'm looking for more distance, I'm hitting it about 230-40 yards and would like to be ~250 yards by the end of the year. I think it may be found in the gym. But happy to hear suggestions.

And yes, those are my trousers!!

I think it looks great. The only way I can see you getting any more distance is to simply swing harder, that is if your back will let you. Other than that, great swing!

Beautiful swing. And I wouldn't swing harder. I'm betting you'll make that distance goal just like it is. (With the right ball). Or a new driver.

I tend to lose control / balance by trying to swing harder. I figure by trying to strengthen my core and stretching it will help with a better / stronger transition. Sitting at a desk all day at my age doesn't help and I'm not a gym rat.

My 15 year old is getting seriously close to outdriving me. That's my motivation! :);)

Thanks everyone else for the comments. And yes, a new driver will undoubtedly help!

What you've got to do is cut the hamstring on the back of his leg right at the bottom. He'll never play golf again. :D

My son has ALWAYS been able to outdrive me, but never beat me. One day, maybe. :)

Looks to me as if most of the issues are with equipment.
1.) The driver shaft is divided almost in half between white paint and black paint. Each color of paint will have a difference wind friction. That means one half the shaft is moving through the air faster than the other half. You need to synchronize your shaft colors.
2.) You stocking had has no tassel on top. To improve distance a tassel on the stocking had will be added weight moving your head forward... increasing your swing speed. Go find a tasseled stocking hat.
3.) The sweater is quite nice, but does not have the image of a golfer across the front. The better golfers have been "blessed" with numerous sweaters by good intentioned relatives. The wearing of those sweaters in public will emit laughter from any one who actually plays the game. However, the secret is that those golf sweaters are manufactured with a communication link to your muscle mass. They are to be worn on driving ranges during the off season. As you perfect your swing on the mats, the software in the golf sweater will transmit to your entire body a process of memorizing the best parts of the swing. Get a golf sweater to practice with.

As seen above, I have zero comments that will improve a swing that most would only dream of being able to produce. Really looks good. Now, get out and play!!!!

IG, I just saw your video. You're right, you're now more upright at address. After a number of replays looking at everything from top to bottom, I can't fault your swing. Well done.

Just watched it. My advice is to take two weeks off then quit the game.

Had to reset my expectations over the last 12 months. My hip is on borrowed time, surgery beckons. Having said that I’m crushing the Cobra F9 right now. But I guess it’s the law of diminishing returns these days. I’m golfing on borrowed time, so happy to enjoy it. I play on Saturday now with my son and his buddies. They are getting longer, I stay the same, but feel like I’m going backwards. I still win the money though.

Sorry to hear it, IG. I know the feeling. A decade ago, I was in really good shape and could put it out there 280-300. I've gotten older, weaker, stiffer...felt the decline.

Then with the accident last year, I was bed bound for several months, atrophied even worse. Had to teach myself to walk again. Still suffer with swelling, stiffness, pain in the ankle. Strength-wise, coming back from that has been a LOT longer/tougher than I expected.

Saturday, I was averaging 240ish off the tea. Hoping to get back in shape and get over 250 again.

I may video my swing and invite comments. If you were dumb...er...brave enough to do it...

PS: Sorry to hear about the hip. What's the deal? And your swing looks silky smooth. I hope you didn't change anything.

I've played with an older golfer a couple of times at my home club. He has a swing like Furyk. By that I mean he waves the club around on the backswing and then drops it in nicely. I out drive him easily but he hits EVERY fairway and his short game is deadly. Be that guy.
