Name the top 5 places you would like to visit.
Be specific - don't say Europe for example

I'll go first - pretty boring tourist stuff but hey, I've never been to any of these places.

    1. Italy - I'd need some time to hit all the highlights (Rome, Venice etc)
    2. Paris - Louvre, Eiffel tower, Food and Drink. I might venture into the South countryside also
    3. Grand Canyon - never been. No excuse here. I gotta get there with the kids someday
    4. Hawaii - diving, beaches, volcanic exploration
    5. Egypt - Pyramids, cradle of civilization etc. I may want to wait a few years ;-)

A few that were close but didn't quite make it: St Andrews, and Regina SK so I can kick R35's ass ;-)

Scotland-Home of golf. That's enough appeal for me.
Spain-Ham. And tapas, but mostly ham.
New Zealand. Golf and sight seeing. I might walk the trail to Mordor.
British Columbia-Mountain golf and seafood on the coast. I don't really find Canadians insufferable.
Antarctica-I've read most every book about Antarctic exploration and would love to see the ice. If I would have had the fascination as a young man, I would have tried to work there.

    1. New Zealand. It's been a dream of mine for years and years to go. Almost did by myself in 2009, but opted for Barbados with the family. Time and money are hard to manage with a trip that far away.

    A distant second is..

    2. Germany. Stuttgart for the Porsche factory. And beer.
    3. Grand canyon/Zion National Park
    4. Fiji. I've heard the place isn't great for tourists, which is why I want to go. People drive me crazy on vacation.
    5. Patagonia, Chile. The place is LOADED with Canadian beavers trapped and sent their to stimulate the fur trade in the 70's. Then the beaver learned to swim in salt water, their fur became greasy as a result, and the fur trade died. Now, they have no enemies and are decimating the place. Who doesn't wanna see that? :D

Funny - when I asked my wife where she wanted to go that's what she said.

    Maybe you can take her??

Australia/NZ: Maybe after the effects of the EQ has cleared. Had a friend in the '80s who spent a year in Adelaide, and regretted ever returning.
Phuket: Just 'cause I love to say it. (and it ain't poo-ket)
Ireland; 'cause I've flown over it more than 20 times, and never doubled-back. (IG, you'd need to give me 5 a side. I haven't really played in 2 years)
Barcelona: Ok, it's supposed to be the most beautiful city on the map. And my daughter was there before me. 'course, she was in most of Italy before me too.
Naples, FL: Gotta place 30 minutes away. Golf is crazy. And at least I know this trip will be FUN!

Been all over the USA except for the Pacific NW so that's on my list.

Been to Italy but never made it south to Rome so another one on the list.

New Zealand, everyone I know who has been there says it's awesome.

Equador, Chile and Peru, going to lump all 3 together.

Ireland, planning on going end of next month.

Since I live there I am curious as to why it's number one on your list?

    My list;
    1) I want to play golf with IG on his home course.
    2) A drinking tour of Scotland
    3) England
    4) Germany
    5) Italy

Be careful, once you get out here, you'll want to move here.

    1. Hawaii, it's the only state I havent been to.
    2. Scotland, something about those green rolling hills that intrigues me
    3. Greece, seeing the history there would be fascinating.
    4. Austailia, no reason in particular, just looks like a fun place to vacation.
    5. China, just cuz I wanna see where all the crap I buy from Wally World comes from.

Well, you're invited any time you want to come down-under!

BTW, Mojitos are Cuban. Brazilians drink Caipirinhas...:D

    My list will say:

    1. Japan: Its been my life's dream. Visiting the Hombu-Dojo, The Stone Temple in Kyoto, etc.
    2. India: I'd love to follow Buddha's trail. I'm probably doing this one in the next couple of years
    3. Java Island (Indonesia): Been there but I would just love to go back with my loved one
    4. Santo Domingo: Dominican Replucis has it all. Salsa, MErengue, and awesome golf courses!
    5. Orlando: I've been there about three times in my life, and I love it even more evey-time! Theme parks and shopping are just my ideal and most wanted vacation! (You all have to realize that the U.S. is VERY far away from Oceanis so its a huge trip!)

Why does everybody want to go to New Zealand? There are a lot of sheep indeed, but what else could drive you there? Its the most boring country in the world!

Venice is great, for some reason a lot of jaded tourists despise it and always claim it's dirty. I have been there twice and like it more everytime. One of the few cities I have been to that is exactly as it's portrayed in pictures, movies, etc. Sure it's touristy, that's why we want to go because we are tourists.

Jake if you make it back over there Verona is a must see city as well. Home to Juliet, well supposedly anyways. It's not that far from Venice and is well worth a day trip. Milan and Pisa however are shitholes and I wouldn't waste 2 minutes going to either one ever again.

    1. Grand Canyon, and I want to take the Jeep, my wife, and the dog.
    2. New Zealand
    3. Australia (2&3 would be in the same trip)
    4. Scotland
    5. Rock's house, because it's in Canada and I want to drink beer/talk crap with R35.

    Yes, and no.

Ice fishing or hockey are always fun. And, you can drink beer doing both.

But, as you have touched on, mostly no. But the summers are outstanding.

Oh I know. Verona would be on the top 10 list. I didn't mind Pisa but I don't have a desire to go back either, one day was enough. Just had to get the standard photo pushing over the tower.
