It's coming!

Just announced officially today! The Irish Open will be played on the links of Portstewart, my home pad! Such excitement! It will be held in early July 2017.

The members knew for some time, the delayed announcement was due to sequencing. The Irish Open has been moved from May to July, bumping the French Open (excuse moi!). So there will be a run of three links venues (Irish and Scottish) finishing with The Open at Royal Birkdale. The logic is that a lot more big US names will come over to acclimatise. And that they will pick up a round at Royal Portrush, venue for The Open in 2019, which is just 3 miles away.

Already I can't wait!
