I actually have seen a sign of that ilk before.

I destroyed it with my 8-iron.

I skateboarded for 20 some years and signs saying "no _" are a normal part of life now. I take them as a sign of "this is a great place to_".

Neither have I, but seeing as that's a soccer field, I can understand it. Lot's of guys/golfers find a field and practice, which is fine except for the divots. Large amounts of divots are not good for a sports field, especially given the maintenance cost of a field. No, one guy won't cause much damage...lots of guys will.

    Still, it does look funny.

My brotha! I skated from about '86 to '04. I still have one of my boards... my kids ride it now, but every so often they ask me to do kickflips or something. It's amazing to a 7 year old :D

I take my boys to the local skateparks kind of a lot and I have actually been skating a lot lately. My older boy just ate shit bombing a hill the other day... I saw the speed wobbles and knew it was over. He came out relatively unharmed though so it's cool. I took him to a skate shop and got him a complete for his birthday. He was so pumped and I was pumped for him. I started skating in like '88 and still do from time to time. If I could figure out how to link from youtube i'd post a vid of me from around 2002. It's called BobK back in the day.
