"JORDAN SPIETH'S DOING JORDAN SPIETH things again," wrote Steve DiMeglio for USA TODAY. "That doesn't bode well for his colleagues."

Spieth, 23, notched his ninth win on the PGA Tour by cruising to a four-shot victory at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am. At times, Spieth putted extremely well. That's his trademark. But when the putter went lukewarm or even cold, the young Texan striped the ball from tee to green. Michael Greller, Spieth's caddie, said his boss is underrated in the ball-striking department.

"Today I hit 17 greens," Spieth said after his final round, "sort of a dream round when you're leading by a bunch. But it was sort of boring golf."

He closed with a ho-hum 70. For the week, he finished 19 under (68-65-65-70--268) and made just four bogeys.

"That was the game plan," he added. "We got to every tee box and Michael said, 'Keep playing boring golf.'"

Spieth is one of only two golfers since World War II to collect nine tour titles before turning 24. Tiger Woods is the other. He had 15.

Still two months away, it's safe to say that Spieth will be a favorite at the Masters.
