    Don'tcha just love having a fleeting thought of "I feel run-down" leads to being up all night worrying about how you're gonna deal with Covid and how your family will deal with your dying from it and hopefully they don't die from it too and who have you been around OMG you just killed like 17 people...

    This is life now.

    Multiplied exponentially when you are in your 70's. The "what if" hits often. We were extremely careful for months. Now, are a little more bold... but still try to do our best to be safe. I have hand sanitizer in my truck and the wife has it in her car. We mask up anywhere we are not with family or close acquaintances we are familiar with. Still... what happens if? What if I bring it home to her? I really worry about one of the kids or grandkids exposing my wife or I. Not so much that I would go, but the life-long guilt if they knew they caused a death.
    We are in a very fragile time. Just want this election to get over with and, hopefully, see some things calm down in 2021. COVID... politics... families we know who have either lost jobs or are furloughed... OTOH, we have so much to be thankful for. Have enjoyed a good life. Have played lots of golf. Difficult to allow the good thoughts to block out the bad.

    I hear you. I still haven't visited my dad in AZ even after my mom died in May, it's just too risky (he's 82) and he agrees.

    Yep. Make it this far and wonder when the cancer diagnosis, heart attack, etc. hits. Never dreamed that it would be an unheard of pandemic. Sad we've lost so many and sad so many more have to change how we live our lives, trying our best to avoid this scourge.
    Yesterday morning, I felt terrible out on the golf course. Of course, you immediately think... is it COVID? Immediately take another sip of coffee or take a whiff of the odor left by a skunk in the area in hopes you can still taste and smell. I could still taste and smell so felt comfortable it was nothing serious. Maybe we golfers will need to begin sniffing each other's balls to check our COVID status!!!! :>)

    That last sentence tied the whole post together like a fine Persian rug in a dining room. Bravo!

    Thank you, sir.

    It is amazing how sudden it was. He was the strongest 71 year old I've ever met.

    Covid->Pneumonia->Ventilator->Infection->Heart/Kidney failure->Pull the plug.

    It took three days from admission.

    Praying for each of you and your families.

    Damn...I'm truly sorry. I lost a friend to it, and a couple of weeks ago lost my nephew (19) in a tragic car accident. I know this is about Covid, but reality is, how they die really doesn't matter once they're gone. NOT taking away from your loss, simply what I realized when I visited the site of the accident...which my sister and bil can't do.
