In my neck of the woods, there's not much Sun Mountain equipment around due to distribution problems with the local agent.

I've split my loyalties. I have an Ogio cart bag and a Sun Mountain travel cover.

So for you North Americans I was wondering which one do you like more and why?

I too have split loyalties between the two companies, using other equipment though. I have an Ogio stand bag, that pairs with my Sun Mountain micro cart beautifully.

As for which is better? I think in my case at least, both products are great in their own right. Being different pieces of equipment

In my mind they are more alike than different these days. I always thought Sun Mountain was better back in the day.
I bought a Belding stand bag on the bay and you can tell a big difference in quality VS Sun Mountain and Ogio. The Belding is built from heavier material and is better constructed overall.

I'm not well versed in bag varieties, but I have played a sun mountain bag for the last four years, when I'm playing for my highschool. It is a fabulous bag, and really really comfortable, and also room for lots of things you need. The stand is the only problem I can think of however, it seems just the slightest bit less sturdy than other brands. However, I do like my personal gamer bag better, it is an adidas bag, and it is fabulous.

As for ogio, we bought my mother an ogio bag last year for Mother's Day, and she loves it. Super light weight. And a good stand to boot. My gripes are the to me it seems a slight bit cheaper made than the SM that I use in the fall. But it does seem to be sturdier than it looks. My other gripe with her bag, is that the arrangement and positioning of club slots is just plain strange. It's called the Wōode system I think, and personally, unless I was used to it off the get go, I would hate to be stuck with it, it puts everything in a strange place to me.

I bought an Ogio bag this last time and like it functionally. I'm not too happy about wear by the putter well after only one summer. So next time I'll buy a SunMountain C-130.

Just knock it in on the approach and leave the putter in the bag.

The SuperStroke Fatso was too tight to pull easily from my Titleist Lightweight Cart bag. It's made for Titty by Sun Mountain. I use one of those clip thingys that holds the putter outside the bag. Have used it for a year or so and really like that option.

I had the same problem with the Titleist bag but just battled it. This bag let's you take out the putter easily but if the putter's short it rubs on the bag. I'll just use it and then it will give me an excuse to buy a new bag.

My Ogio really has stood the test of time, held up pretty well. I've had it for at least four years now?

Was even given a really nice Ping Hoofer bag, used it a week and brought the Ogio back out!

My Ogio bag has a flappy ball compartment thing I would avoid in the future.

I broke a plastic doohicky on my Sun Mountain cart and they sent me the piece I broke plus all the bits it attaches to toot sweet.

I actually spoke to a Murican when I phoned customer support.

Based on that, I would buy Sun Mountain anything going forward.

Is your Ogio bag the Chamber? If so, yep there was a recognised fault with the magnetic ball pocket. They phased that bag out. The current ones use all zippered pockets.

I have had several Ogio bags in the past and would not hesitate to buy another one. However, my current bag is a Sun Mountain and I really like it too.

I will say tho, there is a huge step up from the C-130 to the Tour Series in terms of quality. Sealed zippers, better pulls, rubberized tops. Those little things go a long way towards longevity and wear and tear.

I'm a huge Sun Mountain fan for golf bags...my four 5 or 4 five...whatever it's called has been fantastic. Not a great cart bag, but it works, and it's a fantastic carry bag. I've never owned an OGIO golf bag, but the ones I've looked at seemed great on the quality. They just didn't impress me as much as the SM 45 in features for the price.

All my luggage, however, is OGIO and they're wonderful. I've never seen another bag like mine on the line when claiming baggage which is always great..

I don't think you can go wrong with either brand...find one that has all the features that you want/need and grab it.

Maybe put some hair around it so you can hit it a little easier?

I have an Ogio Silencer. It enabled me to do away with my iron covers.
