Back out to Top a Golf this morning. Two and a half hours of inconstancy, but moments of brilliance where everything clicked just right. 2-3 club head wind made scoring a bit more difficult. Targets that were PW yesterday were 8 Iron today. Target that was a 6 iron yesterday was a 3 hybrid today.

Felt some frustration and went through 4-5 shot droughts where I could barely hit the ball. Today I felt like I had missed 6 years of practice. On the plus side, I was striping the hybrids again and the 8-iron was playing very consistent to the green target against the wind.

    Going back out Wednesday morning!

    Getting old sucks....

A bit sore after this mornings hit. Hoping some Pinot Grigio and Advil help the cause.

Back out to Top Golf today, sun was shining and the winds have calmed. The wife and I enjoyed a few hours of TG and had a great lunch.

The inconsistency is still lurking as the ego convinces you that your getting better. Thankfully, I was able to turn it around and shot two of my highest games to date topping out with a 183.

Callaway FTiZ was in the bag for the first time and played more consistently than any other driver I have brought out in the return. The rubber tees are a bit too short for the driver so it does not get used too often, especially with the TEE CB4 4W hitting so consistently off the deck.

Money club of the day was the 4 Hybrid. It was crazy consistent when my iron game left me which contributed to my high score. It's not listed in my signature, yet, but will be moving in there soon. Found them in my old travel case which I loaded up with clubs for the move.

    Great day to be golfing.

Good to see you back tim!

Yeah getting old definitely sucks. No iron longer than a 6i in my bag now. OTOH, it's nice to have several hybrids and actually hit greens again with nice soft landing long approaches.

I'll 2nd the Advil. I don't drink that much wine but always have plenty of Advil around.

Great to be back. For some strange reason I missed this place more than the golf. Just could not get motivated to follow ST when I had zero interest in golf.

I could understand this if we talked about golf more than about 3% of the time.

image. The casket of clubs. I had to toss a few golf bags away before the move as the years in the Florida garage and attic turned them into useless mush. Unable to part with clubs, they traveled in the casket along with some spare shafts and other such things. I opened the vault today to grab a couple of clubs that I have shafted with DG400's for a shaft test before I go for an iron fitting.

Back out at Top a Golf this morning with the wife. Strong right to left quartering head wind...not a good wind for the draw I have hitting with my irons for accuracy. No high scores today, so played a few games of Top Chip. 5 balls in the close target 25 yards, 5 balls in the next target 50 yards, and ten balls into the next target 85 yards. Well, they say the short game is the first to go and the hardest to get back, and they are right. No issue at the 85 yard target with a choked down PW. All sorts of issues at 25 and 50 yards. Full Lob was flying the 50 Yard target, partial swings are very inconsistent. At least I know what part of my game needs some work.

Into the wind, smart a$$. Full wedge was flying the target where back edge is around 100 yards or so.
