The last straw

    Yesterday there was a total hardware failure.
    The server just died.

    I have had enough. I'm looking for a new host.
    Recommendations welcome.

    I could use migration service as it scares the crap out of me.
    I'm looking at hostgator.

    Ruled out bluehost, godaddy and media temple.

    I'll be making the move between now and the end of the year.

    by "host" do you mean tripod.com like I use for my website? I have had no problems.

    I glanced at two companies and both have very complex websites with pricing that is either hard to find or non
    Existent ..... One of them had a cheap plan at $199 month... Too rich for my blood.

    If you know of something, I'll certainly look at it.

    The cloud players are probably going to be out of budget as these guys seem to be focused on SMB and up right now. Like everything else though, as it becomes more accepted and mainstream we will start to see the prices drop to a point.
