Shoot, I'm enjoying it. Go home from work, have a cigar and some scotch or bourbon, have dinner, stay home, spend no $$ out of pocket. If I could get the pollen to stop falling and the mosquitoes to die, it'd be perfect!

There is truth to this but I was also thinking how all the introverts must be pretty stoked about the quarantine.

Up side to Covid-19 hysteria: Traffic is an absolute delight lately.

NC just shut down all bars and restaurant dining rooms as of 5:00 today. Take out/delivery is still allowed. Local brewery is doing curbside growler fills and growler deliveries.

This is going to be a LONG drawn out process. I wouldn't be surprised to see these shut downs extended till June.

It's a paradox...the longer we draw this out, the easier it will be on our healthcare infrastructure, but the longer we have to keep things shut down...and thus the worse it is for our economy.

Basically this is a risk/reward problem. How much are we willing to suffer to potentially save lives. Then, in the end, we'll never know if we actually saved anyone or if it just took long for those same people to get it and perish anyway. Was that worth the 10/20/30 year setback?

I'm not saying yes/no to any of this...just thoughts in my, admittedly, puny brain.

We just got orders to work remotely as much as possible. Which, for me, is easy.

No known time frame at the moment.

I've been working remote for 10+ years, our company moved to WFH last Wednesday. Weird times we find ourselves in.

Also, have all of the geezers chimed in lately? We can't lose 80% of the forum to this thing.

Didn't know we had any "geezers"! Just young bucks, here.

Daughter is Director of Risk Management for a firm that has just over 1,200 employees at her office location. She's been going nuts. Firm offered paid time for personal or family illness resulting from this virus. Immediately, they were plagued with "If she gets extra sick leave and I don't that isn't fair!" Even though the KC area has had a half dozen positives for COVID-19, she is dealing with a huge number calling in saying they have tested positive... and everyone knows they haven't. She deals with 200 to 500 trucks on the road across the U.S. For the past couple of years, hardly a week goes by one of her trucks doesn't get stopped and drugs found in the cargo. She's always involved in some 'interesting' challenge. It's been three or four years ago she had to have an interpreter for a phone call to Moscow. One of her trucks was hijacked by the Russian mafia, here in the U.S., and she had to negotiate its release. Now, every truck driver has to sign the "no contact" form before exiting their truck at a pick up or drop off. Her quote... "And you know how truck drivers can get an attitude!" There are some jobs that simply cannot be worked remotely. As soon as they determine one can and begin that migration, another group begins complaining about "that's not fair"! Sheesh! So glad I'm retired and don't have to work with today's generation.

90% of the stuff in my attic, accumulated over the last 30 years, is junk. I'm cleaning it out, putting the 90% in contractor bags, and hauling it to the curb. Hard work by myself with my bad back, as the GF is taking this social distancing shit seriously and won't come over, but so far 14 bags. Probably 10 more to go. Once empty, I may add some more insulation, before moving some other junk up there.
