I've got the 2008 Titleist AP1s I bought new that I hit decently. Has technology on irons improved enough over the past 6 years to justify an upgrade?

6-year old irons?? There are few reasons to even consider new sticks...

1.) You told the guys in your four that you could easily get your 9-iron to a 205 yard par 3. When you swung hard and had an even 100 yards left to the pin, you blamed the iron and tossed it into the adjacent lake.
2.) Your best golf buddy caught you shagging his wife. In retaliation, he poured gasoline on your entire golf bag and set it on fire. You no longer trust the epoxy, thinking it might have gotten as hot as your 'former' golf buddy.
3.) You belong to an internet golf discussion board. You have read, this past few weeks, where those with more money than common sense vacilate for days over what new irons to buy. You don't have quite as much money... and less common sense. So, why not join them.
4.) Your wife almost caught you watching porn on your laptop. You were in the basement, mumbling titty... titty... titty. When she heard you, you quickly switched to your favority golf site. She asked about what you were mumbling. You thought she probably heard, so told her you were drooling over some new Titleist irons... commonly referred to at "Tittys". She insists that you buy Pings.

There are no significant advances/changes in technology over the past few years in iron design. The only changes you will see are cosmetic. The AP1 is a solid iron!!!

Whatever

Dick.
Well you see a tax is something you are required to pay and failure to do so results in a penalty of some sort.

A tack is commonly used to hang things up with.

What you were saying is defined below:

Brass tacks are a type of pin or nail. In colloquial English, the phrase to come (or get) down to brass tacks is sometimes used idiomatically meaning to consider the basic facts of a situation.

Yeah I know, I'm a dick. :)
