And I didn't even get an invitation to taste test your first go at using it. Next time, remember your good friends at ShotTalk and let us head that way for lunch!!!!View attachment 27994View attachment 27995View attachment 27996View attachment 27997View attachment 27998
Totally un-golf related, I bought a Green Egg last week. Can't call it BIG because this is their Mini Max egg. Yesterday was my first attempt at it and I think it went really well!!
I did an Apple Jack smoked pork roast. I used some apple wood chips and Jack Daniels oak barrel chips. Plus oak charcoal chunks. For a rookie, the egg was surprisingly easy to use. It came up to temp nice and slow and then just sat there. If anything, I will use more wood chips or some chunks next time.
Already excited about my next cooking experiment!!

MapQuest says it's only 1145.4 miles... an 18 hour drive... to get from here to there. Might be worth it if the steaks are good enough. My apologies Limp. I want to make a few more trial runs before extending any invitations just yet. But if my first attempt is any indication... The best is yet to come!!

By the time it took me to drive that far, it would be winter again up there!!!!!Come on up my man, the beer will be cold and I will cook you a mean piece of meat!! Bring your clubs!
