2004's! One of the best of the BB line IMHO. I had a set the year they came out. I preferred these over the 2006 & 2008 models.
1995's were the best of the Big Bertha irons... closely followed by the '97 version.

Agreed, uniflex seems odd.
Callaway told us back in the '90s that the Uniflex was designed to "stiffen up with faster swing speed"... therefore fitting golfers of all abilities. I told them I had never seen golf shafts with a "brain". Of course, that was before Smart phones, Smart cars, etc. We did still have Smart A**es, though.

I didn't buy this today, but I did take it out in my bag. It was my F-I-L's and he used it back in the 40's. It is a Hillerich & Bradsby and was built pre-1935. It's a mashie and it says 5 on it, but it goes about as far as my Adams 8i and is just a tiny bit longer in shaft than the 8 iron. At Louisville Golf, a Mashie has 36* of loft, same as my 8 iron. I used to think that Bobby Jones and Harry Vardon were some kind of super-heroes to be able to hit a club like this, but I gotta say, it flies high and straight and feels like a heavy graphite shaft. Impact sound is solid too. There is NO bounce (see that sole width?) so if you get steep, it digs a HOLE! I used it on our short par 3 and stuck it in the middle of the green from about 135. It was real sweet chipping low runners around the green. You have to be smooth with the hickory or the shit gets real ugly. I am really thinking about putting together an all hickory bag and maybe hitting a few events. We have a course in VA that only allows hickory play (I am told). It needs re-gripping so I need to find some leather stripping.
