These UST Recoil are graphite on steroids. The opening in the tip is about 1/16". They feel like steel in your hands. My first time installing these....I'm impressed.
I'm pretty excited about them. Look like steel, play like steel, vibration dampening of graphite. :D

I'm thinking I should clear coat it now and if so should I tape off the face first?

Looks cool Greg, what tools did you need to get this far. I have a few heads I would love to experiment on. What is tumbling?

The tumbler is filled with different sized smooth rocks and the parts are added. The drum turns and the action caused by the rocks smooths out any imperfections and establishes a uniform finish.

Ahhh easy enough then, I can just kick mine down the street.
I have neither the tools nor the knowhow, but thanks for sharing. It looks very cool.

Greg that looks fantastic! I'm not 100% sure but I imagine you'd want to tape the face off before you clear coat. That way the trampoline can do its thing without wrecking the finish.

Calling @PaPaD !!!

Wouldn't any type of coating on the face make the club non-conforming? I agree with FWS, mask off the face. You can paint-fill the grooves, but I don't think you can fully coat the surface. Of course, with a skilled player as yourself, it would be awesome to have this small-headed driver with a dime-sized circle right in the middle of the face for folks to observe in your golf bag.
