With a change in pro shop management at our course, staff dug out all the unclaimed old clubs in the basement. There are probably close to 100 clubs lined up along the pro shop wall at $1.00 each. Most are not worth 50 cents, let alone the "hefty" $1 price tag. Old Wilson Harmonized wedges. A stray TA 845 8-iron. Square Two wedges. Nomad wedges. Northwestern wedges. A few 7 and 8 irons scattered in, but most are old worn out wedges.
Was going through them today and found a Ping Eye 2 Pitching Wedge. Blue dot. That should be an ideal gap wedge of today. An excellent chipping tool. If nothing else... a $1.00 boat anchor. Won $3.00 the past two days playing with the "big stakes" guys. Now, spending the gosh-awful price of $1.00 for the Ping wedge, my winnings have been reduced by 1/3.
