80 this morning and have no idea how. It was 37 degrees when we went off #1 and by #3 we were fighting 25 mph winds. North winds. COLD north winds. Had four in our group braving the conditions and the other three all contributed to my winnings of $1.50!!

Another beautiful December day in Kansas. Cannot believe the fantastic weather we have seen this year. Long frost delay. Didn't get off until almost 11 a.m. Once off the first tee, we had sunshine and warm temps. Another 80 today. Won 50 cents.

During our round this morning, we were commenting about never remembering a December where we have... or could have... played every day. The 78 years old in our group played his 19th consecutive round this morning. 19 rounds in December is unheard of... let along on consecutive days. The next two days are going to be pretty nice. Courses closed Christmas Day. Day after Christmas has 80% chance of rain. Friday, winter arrives with a high predicted at 36. I don't think I've missed more than 3 or 4 days this month. If January is as kind to us...…….

Had a rough day, this morning. Tee ball was fine, but couldn't do anything after that. Irons were hooking. Chipping was horrendous. Putter is going to find itself in time out if it doesn't begin performing better! The clubhouse staff has been sick this past week with some sort of creeping crud. Think I might be coming down with it. Sore, raspy throat. Chest congestion. Haven't had a cold in a long, long time. Heavy Vitamin C each morning along with a "geezer" multi-vitamin. Oh, well. Wasn't going to play tomorrow anyway. Am planning on playing Christmas Eve day. I'll play ill enough maybe the bride will take pity and wait on me so I can just stay in the recliner.

82 this morning. Won 50 cents. When we went off #1 it was 53 degrees. Came down #18 fairway at 44 degrees, cold north wind and light rain. Finished just in time. Still amazing to have a fairly palatable golf day this late in December.

No idea what I would’ve shot but my pops, friend and the boys went to Top Golf this afternoon. We had a blast, ate too much, had a few drinks and overall had an amazing afternoon!

New Year's Eve and played 18... in Kansas!! Temps in the low 40's and not all that bad. Greens were still frozen and you had to learn to play links golf. When we started, tried to hit on the greens and everything would bounce off the back. Once figured it out, played pretty well. 44 on the front and 40 on the back. To be playing on 12/31... who cares about the score!!!!

    You gaming the TM’s?

For some reason I absolutely don’t get along with the recoil shafts in any iron.

The KBS TGI’s are the best feeling shaft I’ve ever had in a set of irons. Can’t say enough good things about them.

The TMs are in VA. I'm playing the G400s here in Fl. I don't even know if I like the TMs yet. It'll be May when I find out.

I had put the iBlades away for the winter and was bagging the Eye 2's. Struggling with the short irons so tossed the iBlades back into the bag. Those KBS shafts make all the difference in the world. I still contend there is no way I should be playing "S" flex shafts. The distance and consistency I get with the KBS Tours prove that wrong.

The TGI’s are graphite that play like steel. Best of both worlds.

I played a few times over the holidays. We are having unseasonably good weather right now, mild and light winds. We played in a fundraiser last Friday, my wife, FiL and a friend. We were supposed to play with my son, but he ditched us for his group of buddies, so I called in a friend. It was a 2 best scores on every hole Stableford format, shotgun start. We scored 94 points and came in 4th. We even picked up a few prizes! What a great day. It was the first time my wife has played in about 6 months. She played great, considering the hiatus, and came in on three key holes, with her shots. She can really bomb it if she connects, and can hit out past 200 yards with ease. She's just not consistent enough. The fact that it was so pleasant and relaxed made her keen to come out more in 2019 (hopefully).
