Rough morning. News as I woke up messed with my head. Tough to enjoy golf with so much unnecessary carnage on the mind. 85.

42-35 in my Saturday comp off the medal tees. The back nice was 8 pars in a row. On the 18th I drove it right into rough. I had about 200 to the pin but it was downwind and on a hard fast fairway. I could only manage to shit it with a 6 iron, it came out low and hot and ran (probably 80 yards to 6 feet from the pin. How satisfying to drop that putt. I ended up winning my section, so got some £££ for that, which was nice!!

I pick up a nice new flatstick. A Wilson Staff 8882 Blade

I love the style too, gorgeous putters, and I love the now alignment clean look, but the shape doesn’t fit my stoke. I need a ping blade type to keep the ball on line, hence the knock off scotty that I’ve been bagging for almost 10 years

Mel played the first nine before he had to leave. I had 44 and was awful. Second nine I played with Tom and Greg. 38. 82.

Was hoping the flooding rains we had earlier this year were done. Rained out yesterday. Rain continued today. Four of us played the front nine, this morning, in a constant drizzle. We were soaked clear through. By the 7th or 8th hole, it was becoming difficult to keep clubs from slipping out of our hands. Temp was fine. Just wet.
Scorecard ended up getting soaked. Think I had a 39 or 40 on those 9 holes. Clubs... jacket... shirt... towels... glove... all in the basement drying out.

Played a twilight nine at Merrimack Valley. 41(+5) I hit 6/6 fairways and 1/9 greens. Really bad day with the irons and wedges... pretty pissed off, and my scrambling wasnt great either even tho I did get up and down 3 times. Every green I missed I missed to the left, I got the pulls like you read about, gotta get on the range and figure out what’s wrong with my footing.....

Oh and the one green I did hit, I stuck to 3’... missed the putt... all in all just a pretty miserable round despite the great weather

Mel day. 42 and 43 for 85. After our little "disagreement" yesterday he was a little angel. And I smoked his sorry ass.

Another really rough day. 43/43 for an 86. Mental errors. Putting woes. But... won 75 cents!! Whoopeeee!!!!

Members tourney coming up in another month or so. Need to get my handicap up before then. Otherwise the sandbaggers reign. So... I will be trying to play in the 90's for the next week or so... if I don't lose too much money. 50 to 75 cents/day will break an old retired guy in a hurry!!!

Frustrated over how I've played the past couple of times out. So... pulled out all irons and wedges and replaced with the set of Eye 2's. 39/36 for a 75. Two birdie putts lipped out. Could easily have been lower that that.

36/38 74, really disappointing back side, 4 bogey’s no birdies, missed 2 birdie putts inside of 10ft, one on 9 and one on 15. First time playing this course, I’ll do a long form review with tonight when I have time.

    Edit: full review is up

Maybe I can arrange a tee time where you could play with him.
