Maybe you could interest him in a nice game of Russian Roulette.
Even offer him a few mulligans.

Played with Brian today from the white tees. He's a good player and long hitter. Nice hispanic guy and had a great time. I even played good on the whites. 45 and 43 for 88. He had 41 and 44 for 85. We plan to play more together. He helps teach the kids at the course.

39-39 for a 78 on Saturday, won my section! If the putter had worked I'd be holding a trophy. 34 putts :( But I'm hitting it well at the moment.

Then my son and I had a match on Sunday, 4-ball, better ball. We shot 44 points and still got beaten on the last hole!! We played two guys, one of whom allegedly play off a 20 h/c. The dude had 5 pars on the front nine, S A N D B A G G E R ! Anyway I had resigned myself to getting beaten as we were 3 down after nine holes. We put in a great effort on the back half shooting -3, birdieing 4 of the last 7 holes to get back to only one down on 18. I hit a great second shot to about 12 feet and rolled in the putt for a birdie. The dude had to hole a 5 footer to win the match one up, which of course he did. My son was upset, but hey, what do you do. I enjoyed the fightback!

The only tournament I play in, some years, is our club's members tournament. Probably won't this year for that very reason. Some of us long every round we play... and the score we card. Some only put in their high rounds. Others don't keep an official handicap. We will have players who "can't break 90" play at an 18 to 20 handicap an will have a "lucky" day where they card 80 or 81. Gets really frustrating. I am currently at a 9. If I play to my handicap I will shoot that same 80 or 81.... and get beat by 10 strokes!!! Takes the fun out of it.

Felt like I was playing the worst round in the past 25 years, this morning. Driver was working and NOTHING else was. Still ended up 43/42 for an 85. Much better than I would have guessed while on the course.

Two 40's for 80. Played with Gregg and Tom again. Tom is so gun shy his swing looks like a slower version of Charles Barkley. And talk about putting "yips". Wow.

Get to a far point from the clubhouse in your cart, make a fast left turn, sling him out. Stop far enough away he can't get to you. Unstrap his bag, kick it, bag flies off. Then drive away laughing maniacally. Have sssmokin wait nearby to video it all. Share video here.
