Rained out the past two days. Could have played yesterday, but was still wet and I had a door to replace at the golf course. Went out today and carded a neat 75. 39 on the front and an even par 36 on the back. Lost 1.75 because the two guys on my team couldn't play worth a hoot!!!

Day of two different nines. 43/37. I'll have to forego taking the wife out to dinner. Had the low score of the group this morning. Lost $1.00 of the $1.25 I won yesterday. A quarter won't get you much today.... Of course, the trash talking we do about 50 cents you'd think a quarter would buy a Ferrari... or two.

38 and 40 for 78. sssmokin had a 79 but on the 18th (par 5) got a "double eagle", the toughest shot in golf.

Well, I had one of my usual rounds on Friday. I shot 39 on the front side and 44 on the back with only two pars and two doubles. Maybe I'm just getting too damn old to focus for eighteen holes because I do that a lot. Granted our back nine is 120 yards longer and par is one shot lower (36 vs 35), but that's no excuse for a five shot swing. I can only think of a few times I've shot 40 or lower on our back nine. When I do, I usually break 80.

Don't know and don't care! Greens sanded from aerating. Only front nine open, so played it twice.

Course didn't open until 10 a.m. this morning. Maintenance crew needed some extra time for a couple projects. Ladies group was painting our ball shed and a pump structure. I had to be at the course before 8 to get buildings open for the ladies and help them get started. Did lots of cleanup and teed off with the guys at 10. Par, birdie, par on the first three. One under after three and went +7 on the next six holes. Front score 42. Had to turn on the front since back was closed. Other groups had gone off and some were slow. Sheesh! Used to playing in under three hours and it seemed like just the second nine took that long. Zipped through the front in 1 hour, 20 minutes. Full round was almost exactly 4 hours due to the slow down on the second nine. Didn't stick around to know what I shot, but it was terrrrrible!!!!

Same for me today. Back nine closed so played front twice. Greens recently aerated, but putted smoother than I expected, if a bit sow.

Driver was a laser pointer. Irons were hot and old. Scrambling was decent.

    39-38.

80 this morning, Freshly aerated greens with some sand left on them. Tough putting. Won $1.25.

79.... With 3 chip in birdies... Means 10 bogies... Adds up to 5 pars if my math is correct. Can't make a birdie putt, but hit the cup from anywhere around the green. What a frustrating game.
