Did not feel as if I played well at all. Still ended up 41/39 for an 80.

I was reading some of my old posts and have to correct this one. I meant bizarre; not bazaar! Obviously I posted the original one after several glasses of Scotch.

BTW my round last Wednesday was an 85. I doubled #18 or it would have been another 83.

You do realize, don't you, making a double bogey is not the preferred means to card something different than an 83?? Wouldn't it be better to have birdied or eagled the 18th hole? Sheesh! Do I have to draw you a picture???!!!! :D:D:D:D
Our entire group is pretty well convinced if we can find our way to the course, crawl into a cart, and make contact with a golf ball we will play even if we card 100+!! The only guy who really got upset and tossed clubs no longer plays in our group. We all are appreciative that we woke up and were physically/mentally (Well, the 'mentally' is sometimes questionable!) able to play golf. So many our ages would be grateful to have the opportunity we do.

Cold rain and 40 degrees yesterday so didn't play. 55 degrees this morning. Cloudy and damp, but not bad for November. Really fun round. Putter finally decided to work. 38/37 for a 75.

Almost 2" much needed rain, yesterday, so stayed home. Course closed today for Thanksgiving. Having withdrawal symptoms already. The next few days highs in the 50's. Mid next week, though, lows drop into the teens and highs in the 40's.

Had most round at our course for the third year in a row. From April 1 to November 15, I put 174 18-hole rounds in the handicap system. Had 39 rounds during January, February, and March. That's 213. Have had a few since 11/15 and hope to see quite a few before year's end. Might surpass 250.

79 this morning. Beautiful morning for the day after Thanksgiving!

Long frost delay this morning. They let us out at 10:30. Could not get unwound. Terrible front nine. 43!! Hit some good drives, but was a complete dunce from there in. Parred 9 so thought maybe I could play a little better on the back. Shot 37 on the back! Even 80. Birdied 17 and 18. 7 over on the front and just 1 over on the back. What a frustrating game.....

Played in a 3 generation scramble today with my pops and 2nd oldest son. 31 on the front and 33 on the back for an 8 under 64. Was a good day!

Wind chill 36 when we started... 33 when we finished. 25 to 35 mph northeast wind. There is an extremely thin line between no common sense and total stupidity. Amazing, though, how one seems to adapt their game. 82 which I will take in these conditions.

Nothing...no golf allowed. I did a beach walk with my son out to the Bar Mouth (about 6 miles round trip) and shot these photos, so it was not all a total waste.

The Bar Mouth Photo is very interesting. The River Bann meets the sea. On the left you can see the river water and on the right, you can see the sea water. It's a fascinating mix. I'm sure there is a good variation in sea life here.

Colder, so we waited until noon to tee off. Really played good on the front. 9 straight pars for an even 36. 10th straight par on #10. Then, I fell apart. Three bogeys on the back. 36/39 for a 75. Didn't hit my driver once. I still hit the Mini 1.5 as good as... or better than the driver. Was hitting it really good today.

Played like c**p today. Hit the driver extremely well. Wasted a plethora of good drives. Either screwed up the second shot or missed putts. Amazed when the scorekeeper in our group told me I had carded an 80. Felt more like 90! But... playing golf in awfully nice weather in November??? I'll take it!!

Rough week on the course. Been in the low to mid 80's, but could be so much better. Driver/Mini have been good off the tee. Irons, questionable. Lots all sense of touch around the greens. Chipping and putting has been way off. Playing later in the mornings, have consumed 32 to 36 ounces of dark roast coffee by then. Might have something to do with the short game. :>) Gotta have something to blame it on!!!

Short game came back today. 40/37. Won back 50 cents from the past week's losses.

That time of year when we see frost delays most every morning. Off #1 about 10:45 this morning. Played pretty well. 39/38 for a 77. Lost 25 cents of the 50 cents I won yesterday. Life isn't fair. Getting to where I can no longer afford this expensive game and the huge money games we play!!! :>)

39/37 for a 76 this morning. And still missed some putts I should have made. Good news... 3 birdies. Bad news... With 3 birds to only have a 76 is sinful. Good news... The 80 year old who plays EVERY day and is the oldest old fart in our group carded an even par 72 this morning. Lowest round he's ever shot at our course.
