God damn, it was a beautiful day. I played a tough course today that I haven't been on in years. Big beautiful greens got me for three 3 putts. I doubled 18 to shoot a 5 over, 76.

Great day. To top it off, I had a HOT little bartender ask me out. For a married man, that made my day. Days like today make it all worth while. :)

    78. Not a true score since I hit a few mulligans with approach shots but the important thing was I was able to correct my swing on the second shot.

Easy seventy on the temporary greens on my home course... I got up and down thirteen times, one regulation par, a bogey and three birdies, overall, good day, great weather. I didn't pull out the driver at all today, the longest clubs I used today were my 21° hybrid, and my seven wood. I mostly used my five iron off the tee. 20 putts, but the temporary greens have 6" holes and roll über slow, so that doesn't really count. The worst stat was that I only hit four greens... Poor iron play, but my chipping and 40 yard play was on the money. It was one of those days that felt great, but that you know wouldn't have been if (Insert game aiding stroke of luck **mine being temp greens**)wasn't in play

FINALLY!!! Played an entire 18 holes without my back pain. Felt good! Played better than I had in a few weeks. 42/38. As poorly as I've been playing, I'll take 80 in a heartbeat. A couple of lipouts and it could have easily been 77 or 78. Put the Eye 2+'s back in the bag. Those old friends never let me down!!!!

It was this morning. The course was closed yesterday, Sunday, for a tournament. Lots of unpset members. Why the heck would you close the course on a holiday weekend. And, the bylaws specifically state that the course won't be shut down for a tourney unless there are a minimum of 100 paid green fees. This tournament had 51 participants. Gonna be some made folks at this week's Board meeting!!
And, it was the G20 instead of the R1. The R1 is going back in the bag next weekend. Think I may have found what I was doing wrong. Won't know until the next time I play. I hit the G20 well, just not as far as the R1. If I can get the R1 to keep the ball in front of me..................

I hit the R1 really nice Sunday but putting is killing me, at least on fast greens. Last year I was a putting maniac and this year nothing is dropping. I'm hitting my driver in the fairway. Hitting my irons on the green. And then putting all over the place.
