Quarry Course at Black Diamond Ranch, Lecanto FL. Charity fund raiser scramble. SWMBO and I and another couple carded a -10, 62 for a 5th place finish. One of the most scenic (and private) courses I have played and it's right here at home!

Great looking golf course Steve.
Thanks Greg. This is a gated private community course that is a Tom Fazio project. This is an annual fundraiser that gives us normal schmucks a chance to play here. There were 36 teams competing and we beat 31 of them! The conditions were so perfect, I wondered if we were allowed to walk on the greens. My highlight of the day was my 120 yard 9 iron shot that hit the green, kicked toward the hole, rolled up and dunked for EAGLE!

Played Arizona Grand Resort Golf course yesterday. I played this course a few years ago and now remember why I hadn't gone back. One of the faults of having so many golf courses in the area, you forget which ones you don't want to play again. I like links type courses but once in a while you like to mix it up some. What I like about links style courses is you have room to miss. Phoenix is loaded with desert/target golf courses. This course pushes that description. A lot of really tight driving holes that don't fit my game. There are also a lot of tricked up holes. Oh well, here's a few pics.

Par five third hole.

Approach to the par five 14th. The green is about 50 feet above the fairway. This hole is called Courthouse Steps.

Course ends with a par three with about a 100 foot drop.

A lot of the courses are experiencing burned out fairways. Much more than I remember in past years.
